• Yes it is powered by your existing wiring for video and when the doorbell rings it sends a signal to a separate relay that you wire to your chime box and causes it to ring. There is a five minute video online that makes it very easy to understand and install.

• There is a piece that comes with the package that you have to wire onto the chime. Once you download the app. It will go thru the entire installation with you step by step. Very simple installation.

• Yes the Video Doorbell will ring your bell. But make sure you have a newer transformer for your existing doorbell. If you have a house that is older than 25yrs, you may have to update your existing doorbell transformer. You will also have to pay monthly fees for video recoding and playback.
