- Answer Connecting the doorbell to a Base Station or Smart Hub so that you can utilize the Local Storage is planned in a future firmware update. Currently the doorbell connects directly to your router and does not have access to the Base Station or Smart Hub.

- Answer No, the Video Doorbell does not need a base station as it connects directly to your 2.4Ghz home WiFi network. It is a goal of Arlo’s to make as many cameras compatible with Alexa, Google Assistant and HomeKit, but we don’t have an announcement to make regarding Video Doorbell voice assistant compatibility at this time. ^KN

- Answer No. This is a stand alone unit, operating over 2.4 Ghz. It will not connect to the Arlo Hub, requiring a subscription to record.
