This Arlo camera has come is SO handy for keeping an eye on my dogs while I’m out! I just went to my Library on the Arlo App from my iPhone and was able to easily download something that was recorded yesterday. It automatically saved to my iPhone Photos (even though it is the full video clip). The Arlo App automatically saves the past 7 days on a rotating basis, so if you want to download something to save permanently, just be sure to do it before the 7th day. You can pay for extended days, but if you can save it yourself, why pay that monthly fee, right? :) I don’t have an Alexa or Apple TV, etc.

I understand recordings are saved for 7 days with no monthly fee. Additional features require a monthly fee. I also have a smart phone where I installed the arlo app. Notifications are received via this app plus I can view the records there as well. So to answer your question another way. Arlo has saved 7 days of recordings already in the cloud. You need an account to view them (app or PC or other). I connected my Arlo base to my home router, thus giving it access to the internet. Also, if you want to save a specific recording you can download it from the Arlo cloud to your selected destination,

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I do not pay a monthly fee for my recordings to be stored on the cloud. There truly is no need unless you need recordings of every day comings and goings, like a business or office would need. Mine keeps recordings for 7-days then loops and records over the older footage. If I need one of those recordings from one my cameras within those 7-days, I view it and download to my phone for keeping. Again, I see no need in paying a monthly fee of useless recordings (i.e, bird/bug flying by camera, neighbors walking dogs or just walking by, cars going by driveway camera, etc...). If video is needed in those 7-days, download to phone or USB for keeping and for FREE!!!!
