• You will need to purchase the plan if you want it to record for you. If you do not, then your camera is a brick at this point, and will only be useful for viewing "live" feeds. The plan will allow you to record, and receive alerts.

• Yes, the Arlo Pro 4 Spotlight camera can connect directly to your router's wifi connection and be added to your existing Arlo account. The camera comes with a free Arlo Smart trial. When the trial expires, you have the option to purchase an Arlo Smart subscription. Without an Arlo Smart subscription, live stream, and receive motion and audio notifications from the camera. ^RM
