“Do you have to purchase a subscription to get playback? We have the series 2 and can get playback of up to 7 days from our base station... No subscription needed. This series states no subscription needed, but also says a free trial is included. Thanks”

The Arlo Pro 4 camera comes with an Arlo Smart trial. When the trial expires, you have the option to purchase an Arlo Smart subscription. Without an Arlo Smart subscription, you can still add up to 5 cameras to your Arlo account, live stream, and receive motion and audio notifications. ^RM
