It sits upon a metaphorical pillar of which Comcast's management tentacles cannot reach. Well, except they can deliver firmware updates to the modem if they so choose since they leave the management port open...

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Any modem/router is better to own your own, then get charged monthly by Comcast. I have had Comcast/Xfinity for 18y and have always owned my modem.
