• Yes you can use the SVG2482-AC with your Netgear modem. however, it should be noted that SVG2482-AC already has a cable modem included, so you wouldn't need to have an additional modem for it to work

• This unit serves as the modem and router as well as provides voice support and is highly suggested by Xfinity. I'm not sure why you'd use a Netgear router and this unit. It seems they would be mutually exclusive. Good Luck!
