I am not sure if this modem will work with ATT You have to call ATT for modem comparability. I use with Comcast Xfinity 200 Mbps service at home and it working great. Speed test show for 195 down / 25 UP Mbps.It will work fine for your kids if you have or can get 100 Mbps service with ATT while traveling.
