• I believe if you have Comcast phone, you need to use their modem which is compatible with phone service. I do have a voice over IP phone service with Ooma, and it works well with the modem.

• Yes this is probably one of your better options for Comcast xfinity, you can return their modem and start saving $10 a month and in 10 months your modem is paid for.

• It works on Cox so I would imagine it would work perfectly for comcast

• It's always best to contact your service provider to check compadabilty. You will have to contact them to activate it anyway. So it's best to check the model number first.

• I had to split the cable and run one to my new modem for internet and cable and one to TWC for the phone. TWC no longer charges me for the modem even though I need it for the phone.

• This device is great for DOCSIS 3.0 supported speeds -- Internet only (won't support the phone line -- that modem has to be obtained from your provider) I have Cox, and this model is supported by them for Internet - but I would double-check either on Comcast's website, or chat or call them directly to make sure it's on their officially supported list of devices -- otherwise, when you call them to provision your modem (you have to give them make/model, serial number, and MAC address so it can access their Internet service), they won't provision --

• this will definitely work for you, I also have Comcast at my house. you will need to let them know that you have this and don't throw away the box it has the serial number on it
