Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You do not need a special router for VoIP. VoIP comes in through a connected terminal adapter as provided by your VoIP provider. Any router with an available Ethernet port OR using an Internet switch for more ports will work. I run two VoIP lines, both of which are connected as written. DOCSIS 3.0 and the newer 3.1 is a modem standard, not a router standard. If your ISP does not provide service for DOCSIS 3.1, there will be no immediate benefit to buying a DOCSIS 3.1 modem. Ask your ISP about what they are set up for.
