This is a cable modem only; it does not have a hook-up for a phone. Look for "telephone" and "cable modem" to find the ones that can also handle a phone. One that came up in my search is: "ARRIS Surfboard SVG2482AC 24X8 Docsis 3.0 Cable Modem/Telephone / AC1750 Wi-Fi Router Certified for XFINITY - White." I don't know about it; just one option among others.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This depends upon your land line. Is it VoIP (Voice over IP) protocol through a service? If it is, yes you can do that. If it's not VoIP (analog) then no you can not do that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This isn't a modem like the old days. It is meant to convert a coax copper cable line into ethernet so that you can use it in your home by either connecting directly to a computer or a WiFi router and sending the signal out that way. IT doesn't have anything to do with your phone line, unless you get voice services form your internet provider as well. Then your internet provider should help you get the phone services installed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, it won't work with a land line, say connected to AT&T. It will work if you have phone service from you cable provider. Grace and Peace, JRMx
