This is just a modem and does not have Wi-Fi. You need to buy Wi-Fi router to get access for Wi-Fi separately . The other option is buy the mixed with wi-fi model.

Having a cable modem with built in WIFI lets companies like Comcast and Time Warner share your internet with other customers using secondary network SSIDs alongside your configured SSID (wireless name).

No, it does not. Most modems don't unless you get a all in one that includes a router into it. Which I suggest staying away. If one part goes bad the whole thing is bad. And cost more. Suggest buying a seperate modem and router. If one goes bad then you just replace the one that goes bad.

There is no mention of the modem having wi-if capability.
