Is this compatible with Dish network? null

No, this device is a cable modem and would work only with a cable internet subscription. It won't work with Fios, DSL or satellite (Dish) internet services

This shouldn't matter. What matters is that you have fast enough speed in your internet to stream. I was able to stream my Dish onto my ipad at home on 12 Mbps ethernet wifi before. Now, with this router, I'm on 100 Mbps and my Dish TV looks clearer when I stream my DVR stuff onto my iPad. Hope this helps.
