Please note that in order to use the 2 ethernet ports of this cable modem, you might require subscription to an additional IP address from your service provider. Please contact your service provider regarding the same.

Please try again later.This is basically a modem, so it is given an IP address by your cable/internet provider (ISP), but it is not able to split that IP into sub addresses for your network. That means you will need two IP addresses to use both ports, and your ISP will want to charge you an additional fee for the second IP they assign. So, yes you will have to pay extra to use both ports at the same time.
