Hi barb, Please note this device is a cable modem only, it does not have an inbuilt wireless routing functionality

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Isn't hughes.net a satellite internet provider? This is a cable modem for cable internet providers like Cox, Charter, ect. It is not a router. I would not look for a router to make your internet connection better unless you are having WiFi coverage issues in your home. Again, this is a cable modem and should only be purchased if your cable modem dies, is dying, or you need to upgrade to get the higher speeds (300Mbs +) offered from the cable companies. Sadly satellite internet is pretty bad. I have seen some people in rural areas switch to unlimited Verizon or At&t LTE plans with a device like the Netgear Nighthawk and get better results than the satellite internet providers.
