I own the same modem and have cox internet. I initially had problems with the provider not switching my service from 300mbps to gigablast. After contacting cox I was able to correct the problem and now routinely get 900 plus mbps speeds.

Also, I am using a linksys router.

The cm1000 or cm1200 are similar without voice. Cm1150v if you need voice service.
