December 31st is just a place holder for the release date, because there's no official release date yet. There were leaks that the date had been revealed to be in October but nothing official yet. I placed my order today, because the shipping states get it release day. Odyssey came out in early October and Origins in late October, so I'm assuming Valhalla will be out sometime in October for Xbox One and PS4. The Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 versions will be available when their respective consoles release.
