Not going to crack the lid to take a pic but as a computer tech, trust me when I say that it does indeed have a sata connection and does support sata ssd but if I can give you another option which is MUCH better, don't swap hard drives but instead get an NVMe M.2 drive and install it and make it your boot drive and use the 2TB spinner as bulk storage for videos or pictures etc. Here's the one I installed and, trust me, it's by far the best plan : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BN4NJ2J/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 To be precise, there is only one sata connector inside but if you take advantage of the M.2 slot with an NVMe drive you will be VERY happy you went that route.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is an open slot for NVME M2 SSD. I installed samsung evo 970 with no issues. Just make sure you have a screw to hold the ssd in place ( i used a screw from the original hdd).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I did exactly what BitSprocket suggested and can confirm that it does support the SSD he listed. You do need a screw to fasten it. I had to piece together how to to it. It ended up being a 10 min plug and play. The mirroring the OS to the SSD was half a day. Now my HDD is storage. I love it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Asus is dumb it does have a m.2 slot iam using it now with my Samsung 2tb m.2 drive and still able to use the old hd that game with it as a video and pictures drive, how can you work for asus and not know anything about your PC or laptops that you sell maybe you should do your homework and learn about your products
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In September of 2021 I added 500 GB SSD and swapped out an 8 GB Ram card for a 16. The SSD and HDD run parallel. I have partitioned the device in such a way that my operating system and programs run on the SSD and my Legacy Storage is the HDD. 24 Ram definitely leveled up this device. I have not found anything that can come close for less than $2500. I hate Win11 and that it took away my very *curated* Win10 experience. It was piggybacked without explanation on a game update, so be cautious of what our overlords sneak in there.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There's no extra SATA slot to install another drive, the existing drive needs to be removed, it support SATA SSD only.
