Let FIOS replace the existing router, far less grief and pretty decent equipment. There is a password log in that comes with the new router. No they don't use a modem and the cable used is fiber optic not coaxial. This unit would be a nice extender for that system if you are still having range problems.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No go. You can use it in conjunction with a FIOS router but you cannot replace it. Those Geek Squad guys are usually 1st level support with no real infrastructure knowledge.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We currently uses this with our fios router. It is hooked into the main connection we disable the wifi on the fios and use it only to send the signals to and from the new router. Works great. Much faster, more reliable, wireless.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will a modem either from Verizon or buying your own to work with this router. This is only a router and not a modem and cannot take a signal from coaxial or phone internet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The purchase of this router was to replace the previous router that we had that we lost in a recent flood. We had not complaints with this router before and we have not complaints with the new one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My internet carrier doesn't use a modem either and it works great.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The easiest way is to connect the AC3100 to one of the LAN ports of the Verizon router and put it in the DMZ. I still had issues with the Verizon router not forwarding all the traffic so I also set up port forwarding of all ports to the AC3100. There are more complex methods online to connect the Verizon router as a secondary router which worked at my previous home but no longer works after we moved. I guess they are service territory specific.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You just plug any router to FiOS box in the basement or wherever they placed it
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would not recommend using this router if what you need is a coax connection. This router is optimized for Ethernet connections.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Router (AUS-AC3100) will work with FIOS but it still needs a modem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
