• You're confusing routers and modems. The modem connects to the outside internet line, whether that's dial-up, cable, fiber, or DSL. Most equipment you rent from your ISP is a modem/router combo unit. The AC3100 is a router only and can't function as a modem.

• Yes it will provided you have a DSL modem . It will not act as a bonded DSL modem but it can perform as your network router or gateway that connects to a Bonded DSL modem

• Should work fine like any router, just plug into your DSL router.
