Well there's all the typical security (WEP, WPA, WPA2) that encrypt your wireless network, there is no custom tool to add any additional encryption layers to the network (which would require drivers on every machine that connects... not an ideal solution)... but it does have all the tools required to lock down the network including MAC filtering, RADIUS, DMZ support, etc.

What do you mean exactly? "Is the data transmitted between my computer(s) and this router encrypted?" Yes if you use encryption protocol such as WPA2-PSK.

Almost all high end routers encrypt data as they allow you to "set then up by accessing their web interface.Linksys and Asus have great menu's that allow you to personalize your settings.They also broadcast info to their manufacturer,a major privacy issue,if you care.(see the FTC site for these issues)
