“Can I use a 4G Verizon Hot Spot via the USB port? My Internet is a Verizon Jetpack MiFi 7730L device. I get 10-20 Mbps on 4G LTE. My home wireless network will use this as the firewall and the Hot Spot as the Internet gateway . Is this possible?”

I think the usb port is for NAS drives. Hence you would need to cable up to the wan port. You may need a converter if your device outputs to usb for the network interface. Last time i checked such converters (usb to 100base-t) do exist, although not very common.

The answer is yes you can no only that you can connect 2 diferente connection have your 4G together with the home connection.

Get a usb NIC adapter and plug to the WAN port. Use the router as the firewall. Much stronger security than the MiFi! And you can monitor much easier as well!

No the mifi does not work with a usb only to charge it.
