There are 2 types of firmware... the (Stock)Asus and there is a 3rd party FW called Merlin, you might need to do a clean hard reset and load up the a new configuration and try a config not from a backup ... also if you are in a high WiFi traffic or interference from microwaves or cordless phones consider what’s around your router. There is also guide for understanding the 2.4GHz and Bluetooth... there are soo many variables but encourage you to review your logs and take to SNB forum there you’ll find a lot of helpful people address your issues, calling Asus support leaves me more frustrated but it is also an option too.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In haste I bought a new RT-AC3100. The GUI is fast even with the Merlin firmware, tried Asus as well however still suffering packet loss even though pings to google.com are 12-15ms. I use googles DNS server and that is where my problem is. Switched to Quad9 DNS server and pings are higher at 40-60ms but no packet loss.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The new AC3100 did the same ( dropping packets wired and wireless) with all firmware. ASUS email support was no help, email inbox was full when they requested a log file. Returned item to Best Buy.
