• You will get added performance from an overclocked graphics card. The motherboard may not be capable of overclocking CPU, the graphics relies on a different program to overclock the MHZ.

• Even though you are unable to overclock your CPU, you can still overclock your GPU to provide better FPS in gaming. You can also adjust voltages and such to minimize electricity usage and maintain the same or better performance using MSI Afterburner. I do not know why the ASUS rep told you that you cant get better performance by overclocking your GPU.

• If your motherboard doesn't support overclocking (like Intel H-series motherboards), a graphics card with overclocking features won't give you any additional performance boost. Your GPU will just run at its normal speed.
