It has an IPX4 water resistance rating so only light water splashes. No submerging. IPX4 water resistance so not "waterproof", remove before you start swimming or showering. IPX4 water resistance devices mostly are rated for light rain use. You want IPX5 for constant sustained water spray. Or IPX8 for swimming. These wouldn't stay in your ears anyway. So light sweat, light rain shower quickly dry put away max, is the rule for my IPX4 devices.
