“Just bought this router coming from a netgear nighthawk and was wondering if them netgear nighthawks are a modem/router my internet company doesn't run modems do i need a modem to run this? And what's the best one out there for it”

• This is not a modem. Contact your Internet provider and see which modems they suggest.

• Yes you would need to get a modem if you run Cable or DSL. For Fiber usually the company will give you a modem. Just buy whatever is on sale Axxis or Motorola are good bets.

• Hello, This router does require a modem of some kind as there is not one built in. I personally use the Arris SB8200 which I have used with three brands of routers at this point, Linksys, Netgear and now the Asus and have had no issues. Thank you.
