I imagine Asus has figured most of us open the thing and add ram and SSD's. So, the price of $1,599 comes from cutting certain corners. 1TB isn't enough. So, make it cheaper with a 512 and let us add 2-4TB superior SSDs.

I just went and bought a 4TB drive on amazon for a about $300. Spent another $80 for a DDR5 32gb stick and now sits at 48gigs.

no extra slots to add more drives and I do not agree with the official reply. Support Max 1TB? First thing I did was drop in a 2TB NVME with no issues. 512 is too paltry when I have almost 800GB of Steam games alone

I bought a 1TB NVMe and switched it out. That is good enough for me. For more games, I use an external 2TB NVMe drive that works great connected to USB-C.
