• There is another m.2 pice gen 5 slot that can hold whatever capacity that you can buy. I have seen ssds with 8tb before that you could use if you wanted to. Or more common 4tb or 2 tb drives.

• There are 2 M.2 slots. I don't know the max storage for each; I added a 4TB drive to the second slot with no problems.
