I am using this as an external monitor for my HP Victus 2022 Intel 12700k, Nvidia 3050ti. I cannot get 166hz to register. It maxes out at 144hz. Not a real thing as advertised? Overclock it not available ro select null

You will need to use the display port to get the 165HZ refresh rate.  The HDMI ports are only 1.4 and limit the refresh rate to 144.

Same problem here with a AMD machine 5900x and Radeon 6950xt. Won't allow adjustment over 144hz and very dim.

When you use HDMI connection the max resolution is 144hz. You have to use the display port to get the 166hz.
