• A monitor can be no faster than the video source--there is no 'upscaling' for video rate: it will be 60Hz. In any case, this monitor provides maximum 75Hz on HDMI inputs; 144Hz is only on DisplayPort.

• It depends on the video card if your laptop if it can drive at a higher refresh rate then it will work.
