It could help you but I rather get a more powerful wifi router, usually a weak router is unable to cast its signal through a number of walls or furniture.

Please try again later.If your wifi signal from your wireless router is insufficient, this device will not help you I don't think If the wifi signal is good, this thing does the trick. I added it to my lenovo thinkserver and it works flawlessly. There are ways to test the strength of your signal in the area of your PC - I had an app on my phone at one time that accomplished that. Another option is to hardwire your router to your PC with an ethernet cable, but that may not be practical for you in your situation. Sorry to take so long to answer.
