I am the most non technical savvy person you can imagine. I read lost of reviews on this from multiple sites and the general finding was that it worked well for everyone on all systems. I purchased a refurbished Dell that I thought had wi-fi build in. Realized on set up it did not. I order the item, inserted it and had immediate access. I am on Spectrum home wi-fi with their box. Other people's reviews were using routers from different companies. Hope this helps. I am very satisfied with my purchase. Easy, easy easy.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, it can't. Although it will work with any Wireless Router, it will not work with routers that have only Ethernet capability. This is my go-to wireless USB wireless solution. It doesn't stick out of the side of laptops, has dual-band capability, meaning it will connect to both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wireless routers and excellent range. However, if you have an old-style wired (ethernet only) router, without wireless capability, this will not work for you.
