It plugs into a USB port on the computer. There is no way to plug it into an IPhone. Besides the IPhone has it own wi-fi capabilities. You need a connection cord from your IPhone to the projector.

If that is the case, this may improve the wireless throughput of the computer connected to the projector, which may help with buffering and blocking. If the computer has an up-to-date dual-band wireless a-c adapter built-in, or if the computer is connected to the network with an ethernet cable, there will probably no noticeable difference and if connected with a cable, there will probably a degradation of throughput using this device. Wired network connections are always faster and more secure than wireless connections.
