On the power adapter itself, in very tiny letters and numbers, it says, "Input 100-240V~50/60Hz 1.0A' meaning it can use up to 240 volts. Most 220 V current is 50 Hz and that is OK, too. 1.0 A is amps or amperes. My power adapter came with a plug made for wall outlets in the United States. It's two flat metal prongs. You may need an outlet adapter if plugging it in somewhere else in the world. An adapter doesn't mean a power converter, just something that plugs into the wall outlet, whatever form it may take, and has something for an American plug to plug into. We carry those when we travel to Europe. Each country has its own standard so we carry about a half dozen.
