• previous answers not reflect whole picture. I have it for about 1/2 year and playing on max with no overheating issues even with lid closed but just in case I trying to keep it partly open to boost ventilation it's just common sense.

• Yes. I have to use an external monitor because the OLED screen broke after only 2 months. This laptop is notorious for overheating.
