Yes it good for cyber security major? null

I'm not certain on all the requirements for cyber security work/education, but I think this laptop should work well. I regularly write, compile, and run my code on this laptop. Large, quality screen is good for seeing a lot at once, and 16gbs of ram with the i7 chip will be very competent in almost any workflow that doesn't require a dedicated GPU

If your profession includes very CPU dependent tasks, then this laptop should be great. However, if the major you're taking requires any GPU intensive tasks, you should reconsider, as this laptop has integrated graphics, which isn't powerful enough in some cases.
