“As soon as I plug the turntable into an outlet, the Bluetooth indicator light starts blinking red and blue. It will not connect to any Bluetooth devices. I've exchanged it once already and had the same problem - is this fixable?”

Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the turntable to make it discoverable, it should blink blue. Enable your Bluetooth device/speakers to be discovered. This needs to be done quickly or you’ll have to press and hold the BT button on the turntable again to make it discoverable again. This should do the trick in connecting the two devices. A beep will indicate the connection.
