• I wouldn't recommend it. If you trip and fall, you will scratch your vinyl.

• Absolutely. One important issue will be the length of your extension cord for AC power. For myself I got a 16,000 ft cord on Amazon. That way I could do a 3 mile out-and-back, for a 6 mile training run. Letting out the cord and reeling it back up was a bit of a hassle, but for it was worth it for the quality of sound.
