“how does dustcover hinge engage, is it easy to remove and replace dustcover. since the hinge engages at 14" tall, this turntable will not fit in my vertical space of my entertainment center. but, if i could easily remove the dustcover, play records, and replace the dustcover at the end of the night, without turning the turntable around in a tight space, or fumbling at the back without being able to easily see, it might work for us. i am hoping the hinge is a simple slotted situation, you can remove and replace without screws and flashlights, etc., if so...then it might work for me. thanks for your quick reply. i only have 10 inches of vertical space, so there is no room to mess around and try to get a hinge to engage, or screw and unscrew things every night. thank you!”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.10 inches will work. I recommend leaving the slotted hinges in place to act as a stop to prevent the dustcover from sliding off the back of the turntable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The cover has two 'paddles' on the rear edge that stick straight up. The cover can be lowered onto these and removed quite easily. However, with only 10" you won't be able to get the cover safely past the tone arm, and the tone arm should not be hit by anything, period and ever. You might just make it, but it will be a very tight situation.
