How much assembly is required, if any? null

It took 30-60 minutes to set up. Instructions, as always, were lacking a bit.

My husband set it up in a really short time without much yelling so it must be really easy :)

There is alot of assembly. I too am a baby boomer. Assembly is really short time. However the important thing is to make sure that the tone arm balance wheel is installed correctly. Once installed, push it back to its furthest to the rear position. That will likely be the best setting. If the slide position is too far forward, you will have poor tone, experience skipping and cause undue wear on you record.

All you have to do is put the platter (the metal part the records actually sit on) into the unit and the lid, which requires no screws. Takes about a minute at most and it comes with more than ample instructions

There are a few steps. At first it seemed overwhelming. However, when you take the time to read the instructions it really is not that difficult. I use to own a Technics turntable back in the the 80's and this turntable is the closest to it. I did a lot of research before making my purchase and I am completely satisfied. Great thing about this turntable, you can plugs speakers directly into it. No receiver required. Hope this helped.
