Yes you will need to add memory. However, what I can tell you is this frame and the ap are totally amazing. We have children and their families in NZ and their photos just pop up giving my wife and I great joy. It is truly a wonderful way to share experiences as they happen. One other thing to remember is it is so very easy to set up and use. Good luck.

No memory stick or SD card. Upload to a cloud and pics magically appear in the frame. My 84 year old mom loves it.

no need for a memory card. all of the photos you choose to display is done through their app that you have to download and then stored in the cloud. also it's unlimited storage.

Aura frames are WiFi enabled digital picture frames allowing you to send photos directly to a frame from anywhere in the world via the Aura app. There is no USB or SD card required. Simply open the Aura app, select photos for your frame and you're all set! Hope this helps.
