No. I hear the caller in both ears. However, you can use the earphones individually if desired. I sometimes wear only one when grocery shopping so that I am more aware of the world around me.

No, sound comes out if both headphones....I’m using an iPhone though not sure if this behavior changes with android being as though Apple has a chip in the headphones that work directly with iPhones.
