Please try again later.when i purchased mine as christmas gifts (i purchased 2) there was not much color selection. the sales clerk checked about three different overstock places and most of the overstock naturally were black. so probably that's your answer. they have too many black.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know the actual answer but I see this all the time. I would speculate that its all about supply and demand. They either made extra black ones anticipating that people wanted a basic color and now have an overbundance of them or they made the same amount of black ones as the colorful ones but no one wants their headphones in boring black. Therefore they can charge more for the "pretty" ones that are more in demand. Could be because females are the primary shoppers for Chirstmas and they tend to buy colors creating a higher demand.
