Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The warmth from the battery being charged, not unlike the cable/wired charger being plugged in. If the iPhone X gets HOT, that means your battery is failing and/or you have a defective battery. One quick check is to use the lightning cable to charge the phone and see if it gets as warm as it does while using the wireless charger, if it does, you have a questionable battery. If the iPhone stays cool, then you have a defective wireless charger.
