It does not have a temperature dial, and cannot be adjusted, so you are at the mercy of whatever internal thermostat this waffle iron has. It takes forever to get a waffle that is crispy on the outside. So depending upon how you like your waffles, it can take between 4 and 12 minutes for a single waffle. The less time, the soggier your waffle.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’d say it takes a minute or two. And it does not turn off by itself. You have to watch the light on the side of the waffle iron. The light will be orange during the cooking process and then turn white when the waffle is ready.
