“Does it get hot on the outside? I’m wanting to keep it permanently on a shelf in my pantry that is 15 inches deep and 15 inches high. Would that be enough space for the air circulation it needs?”

There is a vent on the back that hot air comes out of, but the unit itself does not get hot at all.
