QuestionDoes this air fryer have a smell? My Power XL still smells like plastic after 30 days of using it. I've washed it several times and it still smells like burnt plastic. Even my food tastes like plastic.

- Answer Mine has that smell also. I use vinegar and lemon but it still smells.

QuestionIs it 5 or 8Qt? Strange that the specs show pound limit which is useless and not quart capacity. Under features it says 8Qt and video shows 5Qt

- Answer That's a difficult question to answer. Mainly, a quart refers to liquid measure which is something that does not apply to an air fryer. With that, I assume they are using the quart reference as a volume measure? We have found that it will hold a lot of food in a single layer. The product is marked as an 8 qt model, just to clarify. A large whole chicken will fit. That's about the biggest thing we have cooked.

QuestionI just got this air fryer and I've experienced a taste or flavor that seems to be imparted by the machine. The food tastes like the machine smells. What am I doing wrong? I've made fries and wings and there is an obvious flavor and taste.

- Answer Smell should go away shortly if you did not pre-season the air Fryer when you first used it. All that required was running Fryer at top temperature for 10 or 15 minutes empty. That burns off the factory odor.

QuestionThe tray has the 4 rubber sides to help position in the fryer but I can’t get the tray to stay in place, it just slips to the bottom with any weight at all. Any suggestions or do I have a defective? This is the 8qt Bella.

- Answer No, that is how the grate fits. The cooking grate should sit near the bottom of the basket with a small gap between the two.

- Answer I personally have brushed my things with avocado oil...has a higher heat smoke temperature...but it's never a pour into the bottom situation. Its to keep it moist and crisp.

- Answer Absolutely!!! I've made steak in this and it comes out perfectly!!!! The taste is a little different because if you're used to grilling or pan searing your steak then you may be used to that charbroiled taste which you won't get in this air fryer. However, it comes out perfectly and if you season your steak well then its perfect!

QuestionWhat is the preferred maximum of wings to cook properly in the basket?

- Answer I can usually get around 10 to 12 large wings per batch (that is with cutting off the tips & leaving the wing attached to the drumette). I stand them up on their ends leaning against the inside of the bowl & then place 2 or 3 laying down in the center. I found a recipe that works very well for this method using fresh (non-frozen wings. 1) Dry the wings, then salt lightly 2) Pre-heat @ 400 for 3 minutes, 3) Place your wings in the basket & cook for 12 minutes @ 360 4) Flip the wings & cook for 12 minutes @ 360. 5) Flip the wings & cook for 6 minutes @ 390. Remove wings & toss with your preferred sauce.

- Answer Yes it did all those things. But keep this in mind every use need watch the time as it hotter the longer it in use. Foods might get burn or dry out. For me I always check after 5 to 10 mins. Hope this help.

- Answer California is hypersensitive to any possible carcinogens or toxins. Since there’s plastic in the base of the frying unit there is a possibility of chemical release during the convection heat cooking.

- Answer We are family of 3 and it’s a perfect size for us. It’s big enough prepares your food in 1 batch instead of cooking 2 separate batches as compared to smaller sizes. The air fryer is large and takes up a lot of counter space and storage. If you have apartment size kitchen, it will can be too big.
