Hi Kevin, I just received this coffee maker 3 days ago and I am in love. But to your question... I don't have a photo but I can tell you that the the area for the grounds is much deeper than my my last Mr. Coffee (which always had the problem you are talking about) and even deeper than my Cuisinart coffee makers. The Bella also comes with a mesh filter which fits perfectly. I have also used paper filters and they turn out fine also no over spray of coffee grounds. The best thing about this coffee maker is that you can actually use less coffee and believe me, I love strong dark coffee. The first few times I used my typical amount of coffee and the coffee was great. Then, I tried the strength setting for the coffee. I cut back to 12 then 10 scoops of the scoop that comes with the Bella and OMG the coffee still has a rich full flavor. You may have purchased this coffee maker by now... or another brand.... but I am so excited I thought I would answer your question anyway. Happy Days!
