• When the stuff is cooked, I just insert the basket part way so it does not heat and let the time expire on its own

• Either slight pull the drawer back will turn the unit off or unplug.

• Same question. Knob turns only to the right, not the left. Afraid of breaking something if trying to turn it off.

• I can turn the timer knob back to zero where it dings to turn mine off.

• Pull out the basket and it shuts off without danger.
