To go into clean mode, remove k-cup upper needle, fill 1 carafe of 1/3 vinegar 2/3 water, dump in tank. At the same time, hold down Carafe Size and Single Size buttons for five seconds. When clean light stays on, release buttons. Cleaning cycle will run. It will act different then a normal brew cycle, let it run until all lights are off. Flashing cleaning light will be off after Cleaning cycle completes. Fill tank with water, press Carafe button, let run normal cycle until all lights are off. Repeat.

There is a process for turning that red light off and I have done it before. I have lost track of the sequence of button pushes that it takes to get the little satisfied. Have a wonderful day
